S3221QS, flickering on Mac solved by adjusting contrast or sharpness

I've been having issues with the monitor flickering with vertical lines when the monitor is connected to a M1 Macbook Pro via HDMI.

When the flickering started happening, I went into the OSD and adjusted the contrast from 70% up to 80% and the flickering stopped, lowering it back down to 70 reintroduced the flicker and lowering it further down to 60% also stopped it.

I tried other settings and sharpness was the only other one which stopped the flickering too but changing the setting not as visually pleasant as it made the image fuzzy unlike than just adjusting the contrast.

I hope someone at Dell support can escalate that finding to the appropriate techies as I've seen so many complaints about this monitor flickering on Mac.
