Colour profile file required for E6440 with IPS display
My E6440 with the <Private data removed from public view. DELL-Admin> has an IPS display.
As is usual with IPS displays, the angle dependency and brightness are very good.
However, the contrast is clearly too high due to an unsuitable gamma value of the display.
Where can I get the colour profile file required for the correction?

So thats looks for me, the E6440 and the 7440 IPS Display are not only comparable an can replaced via versa. Boot displays have also the same vendor and product name by vendor.
So thats looks for me the follow available color profile from Dell 7440 can also used for E6440 IPS:

Use the parts list at dell.com/support (enter your service tag to access) to identify the screen model, and then search its manufacturer's website for the information you're seeking. It may or may not be available, but only the manufacturer of the panel will have it.

Big caveat: IF the panel is identical, then you can use the profile from one system to another. I would not assume all units of the same notebook have the same panel -- very often, Dell installs a range of panels in a model line, not all of which are the same.

They are 7 Subtypes of this panel LP140WF. But I guess it will be better for me, to use the color profile from notebookcheck, then to use uncalibrated display with known much to high contrast. I will chek.
