Inspiron 3482 won't detect my M.2 SSD in OS
Inspiron 3482
I added a crucial ct500p3pssd8 SSD, my bios show the M2 ssd , but my OS doesn't how do I set bios or OS to detect it. I used crucial tool to show correct ssd fit. Also is there a way to turn off eMMC device?

@shotyme7 Did you click on new simple volume? After that you should be bale to format the drive then use it in Windows. This page at Microsoft should help. This YouTube video as well.

Once you added the additional drive did you go to disk management and both allocate and initialize the new drive?

@JOcean it says online, nothing about initializing, no options to format, other options are new simple volume, convert to dynamic disk, convert to mbr disk
