does my systems support PCIe Gen 4.0 for the SSD from Samsung 1TB?

if so, how do i set this up?

is there a specific port I need to ID in the Bios?

Inspiron 3910 supports PCI-e up to Gen 3.  Doesn't mean a PCI-e Gen 4 SSD won't work, but it won't have the same performance it would have in a PC supporting PCI-e Gen 4.

You need to provide additional info about your plans...

  1. How many drives are installed now?
  2. Are you planning to use the 1T SSD as a new boot C: drive or just for extra storage (D: drive)?
  3. Does your PC have an M.2 NVME SSD as boot drive now or only a  3.5" HDD?
  4. Do you plan to do a clean Windows install on the new SSD or to image the existing boot drive onto the SSD, so it becomes the boot drive?

Inspiron 3910 supports one 2.5" or 3.5" hard drive + one M.2 2230 or 2280 solid-state drive.
