Sorry, I don't understand your video issues...
Do you mean "dimming the screen"? And what do you mean "sometimes the screen coming on"?
Are you having troubling dimming the screen or is it suddenly dimming by itself? Do you have the On-Screen-Display (OSD) app installed if you're using Win 7?
Please provide more details and somebody will try to help you...
