Update to Lifecycle Controller 7.x instead of 6.x
I am using OME 4.0 to update some PowerEdge C6420. Currently they have iDRAC with Lifecycle Controller 4.x, and I'm updating against a baseline based on an automatically updated catalog (daily). Some have been updated the past days to 7.x, now the baseline reports 6.x as latest and suggests to downgrade them. For the ones that haven't been updated yet also the suggested upgrade is 6.x. Can I somehow set it to consider 7.x as candidate for installation?
EDIT: also I don't understand why the recommended version is still 6.10.80.00 (2023-05-22) while the suggested on C6420 downloads page is 7.00.00.00 (2023-06-26)

Hello,
this may be because the catalog is not yet up to date, I recommend that you manually update to version 7 which is the latest version on the site.

@DELL-Marco B As there are dozens of machines managed through OME, this would be quite time consuming, there is no way to roll the 7.x update through OME?

You may consider contacting support directly and an engineer can do a remote session to get a look with you. I'm just listing that as an option as you have a couple post on OME and catalog issues.

Yes, I read it. If I have a custom catalog in XML format, I can share it through NFS/CIFS/HTTP/HTTPS and create a baseline based on it. I know the updates I want to include in this catalog (the iDRAC 7.00.00.00, available for download as EXE or BIN), but how do I create a valid XML catalog?
I don't know if I explain myself, what should I write as Catalog.xml to point to 7.x installer as latest available version?
Should I use DELL Repository Manager as I found in an older thread?
Thank you, as of now it shouldn't be necessary, the other one has been solved with a bug report to engineering

I just posted a repeat of this issue it seems. I noticed the same thing on most all of our servers not pulling down the LC 7 version, and staying on 6.
Making my own repo for updates is fine and all... but what if this LC v7 isn't the only firmware not coming down? What if there are many more and i shouldn't trust OME to get all the latest supported updates for other? Why should it fall to us to make custom firmware repos in order to get the basic vanilla firmware recommendations from Dell? It's not reasonable to make a custom repo and track all our hardware and keep the firmware listings up to date. That's part of why we even deploy OME is so we DON'T have to micromanage firmware manually like that.
