Proxy connection problem

I'm having trouble connecting Dell OpenManage Enterprise to the Internet.
Traffic to the WAN is carried out via a proxy.
I have a proxy set on the Proxy Configuration tab.
When I try to refresh the firmware directory, it works, but only for a few minutes.
After a few minutes, a connection error occurs. To download the firmware again, I must enter the proxy password again and save the settings.

The Appliance Connection test always comes back negative.

Has anyone encountered a similar case? How to fix it?

Dell OpenManage Enterprise may have trouble maintaining a persistent connection to the internet through a proxy server. This could be due to the proxy server configuration or HTTPS interception enabled on the proxy. To mitigate this, you can try the following:

  1. Ensure the proxy server settings are correctly configured in OpenManage Enterprise under the Proxy Configuration tab. Double-check the proxy server address, port, and credentials.
  2. If HTTPS interception is enabled on the proxy server, this can cause connectivity issues with Dell's backend services. Disable HTTPS interception on the proxy server if possible.
  3. Check if there are any known issues or workarounds for your specific OpenManage Enterprise version related to proxy connectivity in the release notes or knowledge base articles.
  4. As a workaround, you may need to re-enter the proxy credentials periodically when the connection drops to re-establish connectivity.
  5. If the issue persists, you may need to open a support case with Dell for further assistance or investigate alternative network configurations that don't require a proxy server for internet access.

The Appliance Connection test failure could be related to the same underlying proxy connectivity issue. Resolving the proxy configuration problems may resolve both the firmware download and Appliance Connection test issues.
