Hi,

The error messages you provided indicate that there are issues with certain components in your Dell EMC PowerEdge R640 server. Let's break down the messages:

  1. A fatal error was detected on a component at bus 23 device 2 function 0.
  2. A fatal error was detected on a component at bus 25 device 0 function 0.
  3. A problem was detected during Power-On Self-Test (POST).
  4. The NDC is absent.

Here's a general analysis:

  • Fatal errors on components: The messages suggest that there are fatal errors on components at specific locations on the system bus. This could indicate a hardware failure in those particular components. It might be related to a malfunctioning device or peripheral.
  • Power-On Self-Test (POST) issue: The system detected a problem during the Power-On Self-Test. This is the diagnostic process performed by the system firmware when the server is powered on. Failures during POST could be due to hardware issues.
  • The NDC is absent: The NDC stands for Network Daughter Card. This message suggests that the network interface card is not present or not functioning properly. This could be a separate issue or related to the other errors.

To troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  1. Check Hardware Connections: Ensure that all components are properly connected and seated in their respective slots.
  1. Reseat Components: Try reseating the components mentioned in the error messages. Turn off the server, unplug it, and then carefully reseat the components.
  1. Check Network Daughter Card (NDC): If the NDC is absent, check whether it's physically connected and properly seated. If it's a separate card, consider reseating it or replacing it if necessary.
  1. Update Firmware/BIOS: Check if there are any firmware or BIOS updates available for your server model. Applying updates might resolve compatibility or stability issues.
  1. Review System Logs: Check other system logs and management tools for more detailed error messages or information that might help pinpoint the issue.

Probably a hardware replacement is needed.
