Aurora R12, power button does nothing

After disassembling and reassembling my Alienware Aurora R12 to clean it, it gave me RAM errors. After putting together the last few screws, the power button ceased to work. This machine lacks a tron-light, and the middle header on the power button board is missing. However, I doubt this would be a problem, as I am able to short the long white header to the right of the audio header on the motherboard to boot the machine up. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
