Well, today we have a little more information to share—specifically a concept Wal-Mart will begin testing in select stores called Solution

re: Wal-Mart to Test Solution Station Concept with Support from Dell

This is a great concept, I helped roll out Firedog for Circuit City, and Solution Station has already overcome many obsticles that Circuit City still is trying to fix. Not to mention the Solution Station's services are cheaper than geek squad and firedog. Plus each location has at least 6 PC technicians that are true technicians, not kids just learning how to set up a computer.

re: Wal-Mart to Test Solution Station Concept with Support from Dell

Please be aware that they will charge an additional $30.00 in addition to work done if your computer is "in warranty". And if you think this is ludacris, you can get on Dell's website and try and find someone in customer service that can help you with this issue! In fact, unless you have someone's cell phone number at Dell that is willing to help you find someone to talk about this with, it's NEVER gonna happen!!

It's a brand new store with the age old problem of finger pointing. The Solution Station says to talk to Dell and Dell says take it up with the Solution Station.

Nice!

re: Wal-Mart to Test Solution Station Concept with Support from Dell

this is a very good idea since they will have more traffic then eveyone else but if they want to beat the firedogs and the geeks squad you will need more then just techs .. they will need a strong sales team !
