Well the XPS M1330 become available again in the UK with Ubuntu 7.10 so I bought one and it is very shiny....

I'll definitely get a XPS... once its available with Ubuntu from Dell Costa Rica (and I am not alone)... From the consumers viewpoint there is no point Vista (and from Dell's viewpoint you should take a cold hard look at heat, performance, ibernation and other bugs & issues from the latter MS incarnation... as tey take A LOT away from te user exprience of your great hardware)

I have been hearing & seeing Dell is looking into getting rid of XP. Myself, Wife and a large number of friends have used and owned XP for years. We work for American Express and have been for a very long time (20 Years). I work in technologies infrastructure my wife Senior Programmer. We have owed several Dell's in that period in time (Back through windows first edition 98 period).At AMEX we use XP on our systems as well and have Dell's in our workplace.At night I am a gamer and logged on to BF2 from 5 PM -10 PM, weekends whole days! we own own 2 laptops, 3 Dimensions, and an XPS720 . My wife and I have individual work stations at home so both are on a majority of the time. Not to offend you but Vista is not something I would use at home, at work there is no intention on going to Vista. From what I have read there are blogs out there expressing peoples concerns & feelings. Mine are to keep XP alive & well. If you are intending to eliminate it from your line let the public know so we can purchase backup copies for our own use and continue BAU, thank you.

Oh.. I already ended buying another laptop brand here in Portugal some months ago because Ubuntu is not available here from Dell.

Now I need to buy another one and seems that will not be a Dell unless will be available in Portugal.
