I can speak for my educational institution (100+ of PCs, a couple of Macs), we would love to buy Dell notebooks or servers for our institution, but have not done it due to the fact that there is no local support. I am aghast by Dell's decision. A quick-fix of choosing a large retailer to increase volume is regrettable. In-store they mis-sell, and support afterwards is hideous. This is going to further ruin Dell's reputation.
