Tech service insists that it is because I purchased my ink cartridges from Staples. I printed a document on 9-29-08 and the color was fine. When I printed on 10-4-08 I noticed the problem. I changed to a new cartridge and the problem continues. I followed the directions on the Dell website and as directed by the Dell Tech. The only solution offered was to purchase ink directly from Dell, wait 3-5 days to receive the ink and then try again. I am not satisfied with this answer. The Dell website advises that if one wants to buy ink today to go to Staples. The FAQ states that the same warranty is in place for ink purchased from Staples. The 3 different Dell techs insisted that Staples refills Dell cartridges and sells them as new and that this is why my printer does not work. I asked what the solution will be if my printer still does not print yellow when the new Dell ink arrives. The tech said the only solution is to buy a new printer since my printer&amp;#39;s warranty expired in Sept 2008. I would like to have a better understanding as to what has failed in my printer. Since Dell knows that Staples is refilling ink cartridges and selling them as new, why does Dell continue to let Staples sell Dell ink? And why does the Dell web site advice people to go to Staples to buy their ink today? &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

For the past couple of months now, in FL, I have seen Staples advertise DELL ink cartridges during their commercials. When I checked their website,&amp;nbsp;it showed they offered a gracious amount of many compatible cartridges for many different DELL models. I went and purchased ink for myself, maybe three months ago, and it worked in my all-in-one 946. They sales rep told me it was DELL compatible ink and when I returned home it worked like new. So, is this something DELL is just now confirming to the public? &lt;P&gt;Here is the question though...&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Since most DELL computers come with maintenance contracts how do you intend to continue providing support?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I spent 6 hours trying to figure out if you outsource tech support to local independant IT consultants. Was expecting some sort of exam, or training requirements, but can't find anything but flames about how poor the quality of the support is from India.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Perhaps giving ability to US nationwide consultants&amp;nbsp;to apply to perform service for you would make things a tad better? Seriously, I like Dell overall, but the replys I see are disapointing.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Quality control is hard to maintain once it's out of hand, but better take it back, cause that's what made DELL imo.&lt;/P&gt;
