The answer is with the Disc Remastering Utility (DRU) , an open-source project we recently released for customizing

re: Remastering Ubuntu ISOs with the "Disc Remastering Utility" (DRU) Project

Vostro customers desire to a version for its notebooks. They were the first (that I know of) to offer Linux on consumer oriented computers, and even remastered Ubuntu to support their laptops, they created the disk remastering utility for anyone to build their own distribution including other vendors, and are creating dkms for drivers. With everything that dell has done, I am sure that they have earned a lot more respect from the linux community, and that they have earned respect from everyone for their direct2dell program. I know that I at least have more respect for them than any other computer distributor.

re: Remastering Ubuntu ISOs with the "Disc Remastering Utility" (DRU) Project

I really appreciate the initiative taken by Dell Computers with respect to the Open source technology. This kind of move will definitely encourage Linux or Ubuntu users to talk freely about any issues they have while using it.

DKMS and biosdevname releases

This week I've managed to clean up my TODO list quite a bit, including getting releases of two apps I

I really don't want to give up my sound :D
The pc-speaker works fine but the s/pdif doesn't work at all and since I'm not that real experienced in searching which driver suits my hardware for linux systems because I don't really know the "ins and outs" I couldn't find it and finally gave up.... :-|

Maybe somebody with a bit more experience can give me some tips to get me pointed in the right direction.
