I purchased Dimension workstation 690 with Vista Business. It boasts twin quad core processors. It makes sense to me that I would want to run such a quick machine with the 64 bit version of the OS. Can'f find consisent information as to availability of the 64 bit DVD.

Microsoft's media exchange site says see Dell and I just want to resolve it so I can get started. I will turn the box on if I can't get the 64 bit. I will return it first. Particularly since the 32 bit version won't fully address the 4 gb currently installed.

can anyone help as dell have been unable to as yet i am getting really bad results with the dell driver for the nvs 110m on a d820 any alternative driver recomendations please on vista 32 bit

Nvidia's Quadro FX700 OEM driver that came with Vista is not working properly. It locks up at times and does not offer an opportunity to find an update. The syste (vista) appears to be monitoring itself and now my .com for update is giving me the " WindowsUpdate_80004002 WindowsUpdate_dt000" error.

Can you help me? I am about ready to throw in the towel and go back to XP-Professional -SP2. I use a statistical program and limited CAD and windows defender is a constant "real-time" annoyer.

And how about the drivers for nVidia's GeForce 8800 GTS? I can't even put the system to sleep.. I have to completely shut down every night or it won't be able to start back up properly. I also experience random video card related crashes :( I'm considering formatting and going back to XP. Also, any way to get around drivers for products that simply do not have x32 Vista releases? It's driving me nuts :( Even my new 30" Dell LCD comes up with a nasty message every time I turn the computer on which I can't get rid of. It indicates there is some kind of message, takes me to another desktop (blank), then I can go back to the regular desktop.. but the message box is still there waiting for me to click on it again. I'm ready to stab my eyes out over here... this is nuts.

I too use Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 with my Vista Business. I have started playing with their latest Windows Server 2008 Beta 3

I have Dell Inspiron 6400-E1505 with 2 GB of RAM.

How's Dell doing on getting an updated driver for the nVidia GeForce Go 7300 on Vista? The current drivers are 6 months old, and while they work well for general computing, I keep encountering driver-related crashes when I attempt to run more demanding programs.
