M209X Ultraportable Projector Coming Soon

For many road warriors, portable projectors are an essential part of life. When success depends on being able to present on the fly, qualities like being lightweight, reliable and easy to use are a must. We designed the new M209X ultraportable projector to be a strong performer with an added bonus: a sense of style.

Note: For a larger view, click on the image below.

Even though the M209X weighs in at just 2.6 lbs., it doesn't cut corners in terms of performance. Its 2000 ANSI lumens brightness is strong enough for lights-on environments, and its vivid image quality with new BrilliantColor technology will give any presentation a little extra punch.  With VGA, S-Video, Composite and even HDMI inputs, it gives you all kinds of connectivity options. And when you're not working, it's a solid addition on the home theater front.

I'm glad to see that Government Computer News just gave it a Reviewers Choice award. But we're more interested in what you think - so leave a comment here, on IdeaStorm, or on the Dell Community Forum.

The M209X will be available online in the next few weeks - in the meantime, check out its award-winning predecessor the 3400MP.

Just got this little thing. Even in ECO mode, it is fine for a well lit room. Using HDMI connection and I'm very please with it. Hope the bulb really last 5000 hr as listed!

This has already been up for sale in South Africa, Asia, & Europe. When will it go on sale in the US?

Great news!

For anyone that is looking for additional information, we now have a live preview page for the new M209X.

Please go to the website below for full details on the new M209X.

T.Visser and kry,

Thank you for your inquiries about the new M209X projector. We are pleased to let you know that the resolotion will be XGA (1024x768) and that it will be able to support HD content. The M209X is compatitble with the following:

NTSC (M 3.58MHz/4.43MHz),
PAL (B/D/G/K/I/M/N),
SECAM (B/D/G/K/K1/L),
Component video,
HDMI (480i/p, 576i/p, 720p, 1080i/p) and
HDTV (1080i/p, 720p, 576i/p, 480i/p)

Also in follow up to the question from aikiwolfie, the full featured remote is included with the projector and includes laser pointer, controls for your presentation and keystone correction in addition to the normal projector menu controls.

Thanks again for the questions on the new M209X projector.

 Garry Wicka

Is the remote control actually included or do we have to order it separately like some XPS M1330n customers have been told to do when they complained about getting a blank instead of a remote?

Worrisome that the resolution is not posted - makes me think it's going to be another 1024x768 yawn but hopefully not.

Does it support HD? What is the resolution?
