This week we launched a joint program for our channel partner communities. The program is built around Dell’s recently launched Dell Management Console, Powered by Symantec, which offers a unified IT management solution to help you build and grow your Systems Management practice. The program includes training, sales tools, marketing materials, lead generation/sharing and much more. To learn more, please visit our joint website that explains more about the program and offers you the opportunity to register and take a one hour, on-demand sales training course. Upon completing the course and passing a quick exam you will qualify for an electronic welcome kit that includes more details about the program and an exclusive Dell/Symantec DMC Partner ROI Utility. Interested in learning more, head over to the website mentioned.

The manufacturers of laptops hear it all the time:  "Can't you make a laptop that is off-the-charts cool?"  If the Latitude Z doesn't get your heart racing then you're probably in a coma.  At just over 1/2 an inch thin (14.5mm)
and 4.5 lbs. (2.0kg), backlit widescreen, high-def 16” LCD with optional
integrated 2MP autofocus webcam, this thing rocks! ...And yes, Channel Partners can sell it.  Check the press Reuters,   PC World,   CNET,   Sydney Morning HeraldDirect2Dell,   StudioDell: Latitude Z video

  • As a channel partner, how can you sell business laptops & desktops beyond price?  How can you match the right PC with the right user? Where are the managed services opportunities?   And how do You convince customers to move to Windows 7?

With all the features, types and brands of PCs, it is difficult to choose, and even more difficult to help your customers choose the right model and features.  “Built for Moving Business” will show channel partners not only how to sell the right desktop or laptop to the right customer but, more importantly, how to leverage embedded features to generate profitable services engagements.   Experts from Dell, Intel, and Microsoft show you how to engage with customers, why certain models and features are more valuable, how to turn an “I can’t afford it” conversation into a “When can you start.”

The event starts with three keynote speeches:

    • “Selling Business Laptops and Desktops beyond price” By Dell
    • “Keeping laptops past their time: How buying new can actually save money” By Intel
    • “The Business Productivity Opportunity: The Next Wave, Your Customers and You” By Microsoft

Plus there will be virtual trade how booths for Dell business laptops, desktops and workstations, Microsoft, Intel, virtualization, storage products, and partner certification.

  • Here is a link to a video featuring UK Country Manager Paul Harrison talking with CRN Editor Sara Yirrell on the subject of Trust in the Channel. It reinforces a lot of things Dell has been saying to the Channel  for the past two years, including a continual commitment to listen and learn from partners, and the continuous investment in channel programs, such as Dell's new portal and solution clubs.
