How to customize existing NTFS report "Folder Permissions with Membership" to add "Display Name" for both Account and Nested Members.

  • Open Report Manager.
  • Go to Report Library > NTFS > Permissions Report Category
  • Copy “Folder Permissions with Membership Report” under “ My Reports”.
  • Go to the Fields Tab.
  • To add “Display Name” for the Account – Screenshots at (A) In the “Available Fields” list, go to the underlined field “Account”. Right Click and Add “Domain User” to add fields to the report type. Click Ok.

Select “Display Name” from Account -> Domain User and Click on Add button to add this field to the Selected fields.

  • To add “Display Name” for the Group Members – Screenshots at (B) In the “Available Fields” list, go to the underlined field “Account Member”. Right Click and Add “Domain User” to add fields to the report type. Click Ok.

Select “Display Name” from Account Member -> Domain User and Click on Add button to add this field to the Selected fields.

  • You will get a message to update the Report Layout to display this newly added fields to the report type. Click Yes.
  • Update the layout to add these 2 fields as shown in screenshots (C).
