I've just installed the Big Brother 5.0 on Windows server 2008 R2. I have experience using the server on Solaris, but Windows is new to me.
I've installed the IIS, which was required and the server has installed successfully. However, when I try to browse to it the behaviour is very strange:
1. When browsing to http://localhost/bb - all seems fine. The server's host and the one client I added are dispalyed on the main page and I can browse between the tabs. However, whenever I click on one of the monitored columns (for example conn) the website returns an error that is not found.
2. When browsing to http://ip_address/bb the server's host is not displayed. I can't browse to management tab as when I click nothing happens.
1. Have you met all of the requisites for installing BB on Windows 2008? A little extra configuration in IIS is required if you're installing on 2008. The release notes, or, this blog: http://communities.quest.com/community/big-brother/blog/2011/04/07/bbserver-install-on-windows-2008 talks about the caveats of installing on Windows 2008.
2. Not really enough info to go on here. Verify the value of BBWEBHOST in your %BBHOME%\etc\bbdef.cfg is a resolvable FQDN, hostname, or, IP address.
