Can the interval be changed for conn/http/ftp

This question has been answered by robert.croteau

I think I'm overwhelming my BB server (old NCR version) with too many conn, http, and ftp checks causing it to suddenly display a ton of purple spinning icons on all these tests for nearly all my monitored servers. Is there a way to reduce the frequency of these tests for some servers?

For instance, I can specify how often to run ext scripts for instance by adding a ";<timevalue>" to the end of the test, is there something similar for conn, http, & ftp?

  • No, all network tests are based on the same interval.

what's the current value of BBNETSLEEP?

you could always use the fping.sh extenal for connectivity (conn) test and set a specific delay for it while increasing (or decreasing BBNETSLEEP). To disable the conn test in BB, set in bbdef-server.sh CONNTEST=FALSE.

Also, which platform and version are you on?
