Still getting alerts for deleted host

This question has been answered by grepmaster

I'm getting purple notifications for a handful of hosts. I'm getting the impression there's a problem with something I did regarding the bbdef.sh. I briefly changed the FQDN="TRUE" line to FQDN="FALSE" when I was attempting to test something and since changing it back, I continue to get these purple alerts for the shortname hosts. These are only simple "testip" hosts, no client install.

[2804010] <short-hostname>.conn purple Thu Mar 3 15:10:34 EST 2011 Connection OK
PING nnn.nnn.nn.nn (nnn.nnn.nn.nn) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from nnn.nnn.nn.nn: icmp_seq=1 ttl=250 time=1.56 ms

Is there some file I need to clear out somewhere or something? I've tried a full stop/start of the BB server to no avail.

Below is the associated line from my bb-hosts;

nnn.nnn.nn.nn short-hostname.longfqdn.com # testip

  • Jeremiah,

    Remove the associated log files (<short-name>.conn) from $BBVAR/logs and the purple reports should stop.
